Zeltweg (Circuit)
The name "Zeltweg" historically refers to two distinct circuits near the town of Zeltweg in Austria's Styria region. The original Zeltweg Airfield, a temporary track utilizing a runway, hosted the Austrian Grand Prix once in 1964. Its narrow, bumpy surface and high-speed turns made for a challenging, albeit short-lived, Formula 1 experience. This circuit eventually gave way to the purpose-built Österreichring, located nearby, which would later be reconfigured and renamed the A1-Ring and then the Red Bull Ring.
