Sochi Autodrom (Circuit)

The Sochi Autodrom, built around the Fisht Olympic Stadium, joined the Formula 1 calendar in 2014, marking Russia's debut in the sport. Its smooth asphalt and a mix of high-speed sections and 90-degree corners provided a unique challenge, often described as a 'street circuit' feel despite being purpose-built. The circuit quickly gained a reputation for Mercedes' dominance, particularly in its early years. Its final F1 race was held in 2021, having hosted 8 Grand Prix events.
