Connew
Connew's brief and ultimately unsuccessful foray into Formula 1 in 1972 is a poignant tale of ambition against overwhelming odds. Designed and built largely by Peter Connew in a shed, the sole PC1 chassis was a true privateer effort, debuting at the British Grand Prix with François Migault behind the wheel. Despite its limited resources, the car managed to qualify for two races, a testament to the dedication of its small team. Connew never scored a point and participated in 1 races before fading from the grid, becoming a symbol of the immense challenge faced by independent constructors in F1's history.
