Kauhsen
The Kauhsen team, founded by former Formula 2 privateer Willi Kauhsen, made a brief and ill-fated attempt to enter Formula 1 in 1979. Despite ambitious plans and a distinctive chassis design, the WK001 proved uncompetitive and unreliable during pre-qualifying. The team entered 2 races but failed to qualify for any, withdrawing before the season was half over. Their short, unsuccessful tenure remains a cautionary tale of the financial and technical challenges faced by small constructors in Grand Prix racing.
