Shannon

The British Shannon team, founded by Irishman Joe Kelly, made a solitary Formula 1 appearance at the 1966 British Grand Prix. Their car, the Shannon SH-1, was an ambitious but ultimately unsuccessful design, featuring a unique monocoque chassis and powered by a Coventry Climax engine. Driven by Trevor Taylor, the car retired from its only race with handling issues, marking the brief and only chapter for this independent constructor in Formula 1 history. Despite its limited presence, Shannon represents the spirit of privateer efforts in the sport's early eras.
