Pankratz

Pankratz was a short-lived German constructor that participated in a single Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix. Entering the 1957 German Grand Prix, their car, the Pankratz VM, featured a unique flat-12 engine configuration. Driven by local privateer Markus Pankratz, the car unfortunately retired early in the race due to mechanical issues. Despite their brief appearance, Pankratz represents a fascinating, albeit minor, footnote in Formula 1's history of independent constructors and innovative engine designs.
