Cecil Green
Cecil "Greenie" Green was a popular figure in American championship car racing, competing in the Indianapolis 500 nine times when it counted towards the Formula 1 World Championship. Known for his consistent, smooth driving style, Green achieved his best result at the Brickyard in 1950, finishing fourth. While he never secured a podium or victory in his F1-counted starts, he was a respected competitor during a dangerous era of motorsport. His career tragically ended in a multi-car accident during a 1951 AAA Championship Car race.
