Mauri Rose was an American driver and a three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, taking victories in 1941, 1947 and 1948. His Formula 1 World Championship entries both came at Indianapolis, when the race counted towards the title in the 1950s. He took third place in the 1950 race, which earned him 12th place in the championship, and he returned in 1951. He started 2 championship races in all.
