Shanghai International Circuit

The Shanghai International Circuit, designed to resemble the Chinese character 'shang', debuted in 2004 and has since hosted 19 Formula 1 Grands Prix. Known for its demanding, high-speed corners like the unique snail-shaped Turn 1 and Turn 2 combination, it challenges drivers with varying radii and significant braking zones. The long back straight, over a kilometre in length, provides prime overtaking opportunities into the hairpin, making for thrilling races. Its modern facilities and challenging layout have cemented its place as a popular fixture on the F1 calendar, last hosting a race in 2026.
