McLaren-BRM
McLaren-BRM was a brief, transitional chapter in McLaren's early Formula 1 history, active for parts of the 1966 season. Bruce McLaren himself piloted the M2B chassis, powered by a 3.0-litre BRM V8 engine, during the marque's inaugural year as a constructor. This collaboration saw McLaren enter 14 races, securing a best finish of fifth place. While not yielding significant results, it laid crucial groundwork for McLaren's independent engine development and future successes, marking the very first steps of one of F1's most iconic teams.
