Spirit
Spirit Racing was a British Formula 1 constructor that competed briefly in the mid-1980s. Emerging from a successful Formula 2 background, Spirit aimed to enter F1 with Honda engine support, a partnership that ultimately proved short-lived as Honda moved to Williams. Despite limited resources, they participated in 25 Grands Prix, achieving a best finish of seventh place. Their time in F1 was a testament to privateer ambition in an increasingly manufacturer-dominated era, ultimately unable to secure a sustained competitive footing.
