De Tomaso
De Tomaso Automobili's brief forays into Formula 1 are primarily remembered for their striking chassis designs and often challenging performance. Founded by Argentinian-born Alejandro de Tomaso, the constructor entered 14 races between 1961 and 1970, first with their own engines and later with Ford Cosworth power. Despite their ambitious efforts, including collaborations with Frank Williams Racing Cars, the team never achieved a podium finish or a win. Their most significant, albeit tragic, involvement came in 1970 when Piers Courage was killed driving a De Tomaso 505 at the Dutch Grand Prix.
