Johnny Cecotto
Venezuelan Johnny Cecotto Jr. is best known for his successful career in motorcycle racing before a brief foray into Formula 1. A two-time Grand Prix motorcycle world champion, his transition to four wheels saw him rise through Formula 2, finishing second in the 1983 championship with Spirit-Honda. He competed in 23 Formula 1 Grands Prix, primarily with the Spirit team in 1984, but a severe leg injury sustained in a practice crash at the British Grand Prix curtailed his promising F1 trajectory. Despite the brevity of his F1 career, Cecotto's natural speed and versatility across disciplines remain notable.
