Harald Ertl was an Austrian driver who raced in Formula 1 between 1975 and 1980, mainly for Hesketh and later with ATS and Ensign. He entered 19 Grands Prix and failed to qualify for several of them, with seventh place at the 1976 British Grand Prix his best result. Away from Formula 1, he was a successful touring car racer. Ertl was killed in a plane crash in 1982.
