Mike Parkes was a British engineer and driver who raced for Ferrari in Formula 1 in 1966 and 1967, after a single appearance in 1959. He took a second place at the 1966 French Grand Prix and a pole position in the same season, finishing eighth in the championship. Parkes competed in 6 Grands Prix and also won sports car races for Ferrari. He was killed in a road accident in Italy in 1977.
