He finished third at both the 1964 Monaco and Dutch Grands Prix, a pair of podiums that earned him ninth in that year's championship. A heavy crash in a Formula 2 race at Reims in 1964 interrupted his career, and he returned for a run of races in 1966. He took part in 11 Grands Prix in total.
