Élie Bayol was a French driver who raced in Formula 1 between 1952 and 1956. He started with OSCA and then moved to the French Gordini team, where he drove in 7 Grands Prix in total. His best result was fifth place at the 1954 Argentine Grand Prix, which brought him two championship points. Bayol was one of the gentleman racers who filled out the early World Championship grids with limited machinery and budgets.
