Circuit Bremgarten

Circuit Bremgarten, a fearsome 7.28 km road course near Bern, Switzerland, hosted the Swiss Grand Prix 5 times between 1950 and 1954. Characterised by its narrow, tree-lined roads, varied cambers, and lack of chicanes, it was incredibly fast and dangerous. The circuit's challenging nature, combined with several fatal accidents, ultimately led to Switzerland's ban on circuit motor racing after 1955, making Bremgarten a poignant symbol of Formula 1's early, high-risk era.
