Hans Herrmann
Hans Herrmann, often referred to as "Hans im Glück" (Lucky Hans), was a versatile German racing driver whose career spanned sports cars and Formula 1. Known for his remarkable ability to escape serious injury from spectacular crashes, Herrmann competed in 20 Grand Prix races between 1953 and 1961 for marques like Mercedes-Benz, Cooper, and BRM. His best F1 result was a third-place finish at the 1954 Swiss Grand Prix. Beyond Formula 1, he achieved significant success in endurance racing, notably winning the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans for Porsche.
