Porsche was a German sports car maker that raced in Formula 1 as a works team in 1961 and 1962. Dan Gurney won the 1962 French Grand Prix at Rouen in a Porsche, the only win, and the cars took 5 podiums, with Jo Bonnier, Hans Herrmann and Carel Godin de Beaufort among its drivers. Porsche withdrew from Formula 1 at the end of 1962, though privateers kept using its cars until 1964. They started 32 Grands Prix.
