Edgar Barth was a German driver who started 5 Grands Prix between 1953 and 1964, spread across three different cars. He debuted with the EMW team in 1953, then drove Porsche in the Formula 2 era of the late 1950s, finishing sixth at the 1958 German Grand Prix. He ended his Formula 1 career with a Cooper-Climax in 1964. Barth was more successful in sports cars and hillclimbs, where he won the 1959 Targa Florio for Porsche and several European Hill Climb titles.
