Nivelles-Baulers (Circuit)
Nivelles-Baulers, a purpose-built circuit near Brussels, hosted the Belgian Grand Prix in 1972 and 1974. Designed with safety in mind, it featured wide run-off areas and relatively few challenging corners, leading to a reputation for being somewhat uninspiring for drivers and spectators alike. Its modern, flat layout contrasted sharply with the classic, treacherous Spa-Francorchamps, which many preferred. Despite its intentions, the circuit ultimately proved unsustainable for Formula 1.
