Brian Henton
Desmond "Des" Henton was a British driver whose Formula 1 career was brief but notable for its timing. Having established himself in lower formulae, including a strong showing in Formula 2, Henton made his Grand Prix debut in 1979. He competed in 37 races for several privateer teams, including Ensign and Arrows, often struggling with uncompetitive machinery. Despite never scoring a point, his presence during a period of significant technical innovation and burgeoning ground effect aerodynamics adds to the rich tapestry of late 1970s and early 1980s F1.
