Onyx
Onyx Grand Prix entered Formula 1 in 1989, having enjoyed considerable success in Formula 3000. Founded by Mike Earle and Jo Chamberlain, the team initially showed promise with their distinctive ORE-1 chassis, securing a podium finish at the 1989 Portuguese Grand Prix. However, internal disputes and financial instability plagued their brief tenure. Despite participating in 52 races and achieving 1 podiums, Onyx withdrew from the sport early in the 1990 season, leaving behind a legacy of unfulfilled potential.
