Bertrand Gachot
Bertrand Gachot, a Belgian-born French driver, is perhaps best known for the circumstances surrounding his 1991 season. After a strong showing at the Spa 24 Hours, his promising F1 career was interrupted when he was imprisoned in the UK, leading to his replacement at Jordan by a young Michael Schumacher. Despite this setback, Gachot competed in 84 Grands Prix, showcasing his talent in various midfield teams. He later found success in endurance racing, including a win at the 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans.
