Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours

Located in the rural heart of France, Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours hosted the French Grand Prix from 1991 to 2008, becoming synonymous with Michael Schumacher's dominance. Its flat, technical layout, characterized by slow chicanes and fast sweeps like the Estoril corner, demanded precision and a well-balanced car rather than outright power. While often criticized for its remote location and lack of atmosphere, the circuit occasionally delivered memorable races, including Schumacher's historic 2002 victory achieved in record time. Magny-Cours remains a significant venue in French motorsport, though its Formula 1 chapter concluded after 18 races.
