RAM
RAM Racing, founded by Mike Ralph and John Macdonald, entered Formula 1 in 1976, initially as a customer team running Brabham and then March chassis. They became a constructor in their own right in 1983, partnering with Hart engines, but struggled to find consistent performance or secure significant sponsorship. Despite fielding experienced drivers like Jacques Laffite and Jonathan Palmer, the team often failed to qualify and never scored a championship point. RAM Racing ultimately withdrew from Formula 1 after the 1985 season, having participated in 71 races without achieving a podium or a win.
