Simtek was a British constructor founded by Nick Wirth that raced in Formula 1 in 1994 and 1995. David Brabham, Jean-Marc Gounon, Domenico Schiattarella and Roland Ratzenberger drove for the team, and Ratzenberger was killed in qualifying at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Gounon took ninth place at the 1994 French Grand Prix, the best result, and Simtek started 20 Grands Prix before running out of money in 1995.
