David Hobbs was a British driver who made only a few Formula 1 starts between 1967 and 1974, driving for Lola, BRM, Honda and McLaren. His best result was seventh place at the 1974 Austrian Grand Prix, and he never scored a championship point. He competed in 7 Grands Prix in total. Hobbs made his name in sports cars and in American racing, and later became a well-known motorsport broadcaster in the United States.
