Lola was a British constructor founded by Eric Broadley, who built racing cars for many categories. It entered Formula 1 intermittently as a constructor, with John Surtees taking second place at the 1962 British Grand Prix and Larrousse using Lola chassis in 1987 and 1988. Lola started 84 Grands Prix, with 2 podiums. The 1997 Lola team collapsed after failing to qualify for the season opener.
