Autódromo do Estoril (Circuit)
The Autódromo do Estoril, nestled near Cascais, Portugal, hosted the Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix from 1984 to 1996. Known for its challenging mix of fast straights and technical corners, particularly the demanding Parabolica final turn, it often produced dramatic races. Ayrton Senna secured his maiden F1 victory here in a rain-soaked 1985 event, while Nigel Mansell's infamous pit lane overshoot in 1991 added to its lore. Though no longer on the F1 calendar, Estoril remains a significant circuit in motorsport history, fondly remembered for its unpredictability and the skill it demanded from drivers.
