Giancarlo Baghetti
Giancarlo Baghetti remains unique in Formula 1 history as the only driver to win his debut World Championship race, the 1961 French Grand Prix, a remarkable feat achieved with Ferrari. This victory, however, proved to be his sole triumph in a brief F1 career. Despite showing initial promise, including two non-championship wins earlier that year, Baghetti struggled to replicate his early success, competing in a total of 26 Grands Prix. His remarkable debut cemented his place in F1 lore, a testament to an extraordinary, albeit fleeting, moment of glory.
