Lotus Racing was a team that entered Formula 1 in 2010 under the Lotus name, run by the Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes with a licence from Group Lotus. It was not connected to Colin Chapman's Team Lotus. Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli drove the cars in 2010 and 2011, and the team started 38 Grands Prix, with twelfth place at the 2010 Japanese Grand Prix its best result. It never scored a point and became Caterham in 2012.
