Jan Magnussen is a Danish driver who raced in Formula 1 in the mid-1990s and is the father of Kevin Magnussen. He made a one-off debut with McLaren in 1995 before a full-time drive with Stewart in 1997 and 1998. His best result was sixth place at the 1998 Canadian Grand Prix, and he contested 25 Grands Prix in total. After leaving the sport he became a long-serving sports car racer, winning in the American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT class.
