Karl Wendlinger
Karl Wendlinger was a promising Austrian talent who rose through the Mercedes junior sports car programme before making his F1 debut in 1991. Known for his smooth, precise driving style, he quickly established himself as a consistent points scorer. His career was tragically cut short by a severe accident during practice for the 1994 Monaco Grand Prix, from which he recovered but never fully regained his previous form.
