Scandinavian Raceway (Circuit)

The Scandinavian Raceway, located near Anderstorp, Sweden, hosted Formula 1 races between 1973 and 1978. Its flat, uninspiring layout was often criticized by drivers, with its long main straight and tight chicanes offering few genuine overtaking opportunities. Despite its shortcomings, the circuit is remembered for several unique moments, including Ronnie Peterson's popular home victory in 1978 and Niki Lauda's controversial "fan car" win in the same year, which showcased the Brabham BT46B's radical aerodynamic concept before its immediate ban. The circuit staged 6 Formula 1 Grands Prix in total.
