Fuji Speedway (Circuit)

Fuji Speedway, nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan, boasts a rich and varied history in motorsport. Its defining feature has long been its incredibly long main straight, originally over 1.5 kilometres, which demanded powerful engines and rewarded slipstreaming. The circuit hosted Formula 1 4 times, first in 1976 and last in 2008, including a dramatic rain-soaked championship decider in 1976. Despite periods of significant re-profiling and modernization, particularly ahead of its return to the calendar in the late 2000s, Fuji has always been synonymous with high speeds and challenging elevation changes.
