Brawn Grand Prix was a one-season team that took over the Honda works team after Honda withdrew in late 2008, with Ross Brawn leading a management buyout. Its cars used Mercedes engines and an innovative double diffuser, and Jenson Button won six of the first seven races on his way to the 2009 drivers' title, with Rubens Barrichello adding two wins. The team won the constructors' championship in its only season, with 8 wins and 15 podiums in 17 Grands Prix, before being sold to Mercedes.
