Aintree (Circuit)

Aintree, famous for its Grand National horse race, briefly hosted the British Grand Prix, utilizing the facility's service roads. From 1955 to 1962, the circuit's flat, open layout offered a contrast to other purpose-built tracks of the era. Its relatively simple configuration emphasized raw power and braking, providing a unique challenge over its 5 Formula 1 World Championship events. Although its F1 tenure was short, Aintree remains a significant part of British motorsport history.
