Pedro Rodríguez was a Mexican driver who raced in Formula 1 between 1963 and 1971 for Lotus, Ferrari, Cooper and BRM. He won the 1967 South African Grand Prix with a Cooper-Maserati and the 1970 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa with BRM, taking 2 victories and 7 podiums in 53 starts. He was also one of the great sports car racers of his era, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1968. Rodríguez was killed in a sports car race at the Norisring, Germany, in 1971, a decade after his younger brother Ricardo also lost his life racing.
