Las Vegas Street Circuit

The Caesars Palace Grand Prix circuit was a temporary course laid out in the car park of the Caesars Palace hotel and casino in Las Vegas, and it hosted the season finale in 1981 and 1982. Its tight, repetitive layout of short straights and low-speed corners ran in circles around the car park and was widely criticised by drivers as dull and tiring in the desert heat. The 1981 race was the title decider, with Nelson Piquet finishing fifth to clinch the championship despite feeling ill, and Alan Jones won the 1981 race, with Michele Alboreto winning in 1982. It is entirely separate from the Las Vegas Strip circuit that joined the calendar in 2023.
