Brett Lunger is an American driver who raced in Formula 1 between 1975 and 1978, driving for Hesketh, Surtees, McLaren, March and Ensign. His best result was seventh place at the 1978 Belgian Grand Prix, and he entered 34 Grands Prix, failing to qualify for several of them. Lunger is best remembered for his role at the 1978 Italian Grand Prix, where he helped pull Ronnie Peterson from his burning car after the start-line crash at Monza.
