Alessandro Zanardi
Alessandro Zanardi, an Italian known for his exuberant personality and aggressive driving style, had two stints in Formula 1 during the 1990s, competing in 44 races. While his F1 career saw limited success, failing to score points in an era where only the top six finishers did, he later achieved significant acclaim and multiple championships in American open-wheel racing. Zanardi’s remarkable resilience and indomitable spirit were truly showcased after a devastating accident in 2001, as he went on to become a multi-gold medalist Paralympian.
