Caterham F1 Team raced in Formula 1 from 2012 to 2014, having bought the Lotus Racing team that entered the sport in 2010. It started 56 Grands Prix with drivers including Heikki Kovalainen, Vitaly Petrov, Giedo van der Garde, Charles Pic and Marcus Ericsson, and never scored a championship point. Its best result was eleventh place at the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix. Financial difficulties led to administration in late 2014, and the team missed two races that season before it ceased to exist.
