Race Notes
- Both Alpha Tauris and had car problems resulting in Tsunoda not starting and Gasly retiring after the first lap.
- In the first lap, Giovinazzi got off track and while reentering drove against Sainz. Giovinazzi spun but could drive on and had to pit for a new front.
- Verstappen's pit stop took 11 seconds placing Hamilton in a good position. After Hamilton's pit stop which took over 4 seconds, he came out of the pit lane next to Max. They went into the first two corners next to each other. Limited space caused Max to bump from the curb on top of Lewis's car. Their cars got stuck and both had to retire. After the race, Max got a 3 place grid penalty for the next race which caused discussions.
- Perez got a 5-second penalty after overtaking Leclerc off track. He didn't give that place back.
