F1 Report

Stefano Modena

Roberto Moreno, often affectionately known as "Modena" due to his brief, ill-fated stint with the Modena Team in 1991, was a spirited Brazilian driver whose career spanned various motorsport disciplines. Despite often being associated with less competitive machinery, Moreno's raw talent and determination shone through, particularly during his memorable drive to fourth place for Benetton at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix. A journeyman in the truest sense, he competed for numerous teams across his 81 Grand Prix starts, demonstrating a tenacious spirit even when results were elusive. While he secured no wins or poles in Formula 1, his enduring presence and reputation as a skilled, adaptable racer earned him respect within the paddock.
