HRT Formula 1 Team, also known as Hispania Racing, was Spain's first Formula 1 constructor. Entering the sport in 2010, the team faced significant financial challenges and limited development time throughout its brief tenure. Despite participating in 117 Grands Prix, HRT never scored a championship point, consistently running at the back of the field. The team's struggles highlighted the immense difficulties faced by new, underfunded entries in modern Formula 1 before it ceased operations at the end of the 2012 season.
