Shadow

Shadow Racing Cars, founded by American Don Nichols, brought a distinctive all-black livery and a maverick spirit to Formula 1 in the 1970s. Debuting in 1973, the team was known for its innovative, sometimes radical, engineering approaches, though often plagued by financial constraints. Despite a dedicated effort over 211 races, the team achieved 6 podium finishes but never secured a victory or a championship.
